The e-learning branch of the Environmental Justice Institute (EJI) was formed in March 2016. The idea was to offer the service of high quality teaching to academic institutions. The aim is to strengthen e-learning in the academic curricula and extend the range of the discourse on environmental justice (and its reated fields).

The idea of e-lecturing is to combine the strengths of already established e-learning tools like Blended Learning by creating a new format. As the German National Research and Education Network, Deutsches Forschungsnetz (DFN), provides licenses for the Adobe Connect software for all German universities, the idea was to use the tool to hold synchronous virtual classroom trainings. This means that students and teachers alike virtually meet in a learning environment provided by Adobe Connect. Here, students from different universities, even countries, can participate, work together, and establish connections among each other.
Another aspect of this new didactical method of knowledge transfer is related to the use of guest lecturers. Lecturers around the globe can simply be invited virtually to give a talk. By this, even a regular seminar can have tremendously important contributions by experts from the field.
Moreover, sessions can be recorded and made available on the EJI youtube channel. This way of sustainable knowledge production enables even disadvantaged people from remote areas to access current debates free of charge.

The following list provides information (and links) of all seminars that have been conducted by now (from past to present). Students from the hosting universities can participate free of charge, students from other universities can join by registering and paying the fee, or with help of their universities becoming a host as well.
