Report Executive: Götz Kaufmann from the Environmental Policy Research Centre (FFU) at the Freie Universität Berlin
Scope of the report
As reported the FU program of the German Academic Exchange Program (DAAD) offered funding for research stays at four partnering universities of the Freie Universität Berlin. Successful applicants are asked to provide a report about their research stays.
The complete report about the funded research stays at the UBC campi in Kelowna and Vancouver as well as at Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2015 is displayed as follows.
The research stay at UBC was conducted from September 15, 2015 to October 6, 2015 with an extended stay for another four days in Nanaimo at the applicant's own expenses, where the Canadian field research of the CC-VISAGES project takes place. The research post was split into a stay at Liu Institute for Global Issues (Vancouver campus) from September 15-27 and at Okanagan campus from September 28 to October 2. From October 2 then until October 5, the research stay will be at Vancouver campus again after which the rest of the stay will be in the Nanaimo field. Connections to the Nanaimo University at local are already under way.
The second research trip to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem will be from December 12, 2015 to January 3, 2016. At HUJ, the University Alliance fellows were offered a shared office with doctoral students and postdocs in the faculty of social sciences (room 4615) including a landline: 073 388 14 42.
This report is filed to inform about the activities that have been undertaken as part of the research stays. The report is structured by separate chapters for each location and sorted in a chronological order (starting with the most recent events). Thus, it will be updated until all information are filled in.
